There is a Philadelphia radio station that has started playing Christmas music-two weeks before Thanksgiving-WTF??!!  That’s too damn soon!  Now onto more relevant matters:  I saw two excellent religious movies:  Conclave and Heretic. ( Movie blatherings :):) )

So as of yesterday (Thursday), it is now officially a week before Thanksgiving and one of the Philadelphia radio stations I listen to has begun playing Christmas music.  Now I don't mind an occasional song, but it’s too early for Christmas music, 24/7-YIKES!!

First, for the past several days, we've been dealing with the horrible hazy/smokey air quality--what must the air quality be like in Canada--YIKES!!!  And second?  There's been a partial road collaspe of a major highway here on the East coast.  I can't imagine how scary that must have been for all of the drivers--I just hope no one was too ( Read more... )

First things first:  Punxsutawnsey Phil saw his shadow, which means six more weeks of winter.  Stupid rodent :):)   And second, it's time for a random post of randomness:

So here in Southeastern PA, we received about six inches of snow followed by horribly cold temps but now in the middle of the week, we're supposed to get a warm up, so all of the snow will melt.  DAMN!!

But I am going to ignore the weather insanity and focus on the Winter Olympics--YEAH!!  I am looking forward to the ice dancing competition :)

So here in Bucks County PA, we've had our first snow fall--it's not too bad in that it's about three inches and majorly fluffy, so it's easy to shovel :):)  I'm also working from home for the next couple of weeks because my company wants to minimize any potential covid/general post-holiday sickness from spreading to all of the employees, which is ( Read more... )

And for all of you on the edge of your seats regarding the Philadelphia Mummers Day Parade--it's been moved to tomorrow Jan 2nd because of the rain--how freakin' lame can you get.

And now for comething completely crazy, Philadelphia's Mummer's Day parade has been cancelled this year, but one of our local Philadelphia stations is showing past highlights from old Mummer's Day Parades--DAMN!!

So it's about two weeks until Thanksgiving and one of the radio stations here in the Philadelphia region has decided to start playing Christmas music--this is way too early in my opinion.  Needless to say, I switched stations for the duration :)

I live in PA, the suburbs of Philadelphia, and it's rather mortifying having your state and the city you live near be embroiled in such controversy, so in the middle of all of this drama, I needed to post an instance of awesomeness--French Muslims stand guard in front of their town's church to show solidarity with their Catholic compatriots.  Good ( Read more... )
